How do I make a request?
Register on eVisitRx, choose a prescription refill or a medical note, share the details, and a New Brunswick nurse practitioner reviews it.
Do I need a referral or a family doctor?
No. Anyone in New Brunswick can request a refill or a note, with or without a family provider.
What are your hours?
Requests are reviewed 8 am – 8 pm, 7 days a week.
Cost
How much does it cost?
A flat C$80 per request, whether it's a prescription refill or a medical note.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The request fee is flat and you know it up front.
Are medications included in the fee?
No. The request fee is separate from any medication costs, which depend on your drug coverage and pharmacy.

Who reviews my request?
A nurse practitioner licensed in New Brunswick, working within their scope of practice.
Which prescriptions can be refilled?
Many stable, long-term maintenance medications. Controlled substances and medications that need monitoring or an exam can't be refilled online — the NP will tell you if yours isn't a fit.
What kind of medical notes can I get?
Simple notes confirming a short absence from work or school. Notes that require an exam, or that certify something a clinician can't verify remotely, aren't a fit.
Is it private and secure?
Yes. Requests are encrypted and confidential, following Canadian health-privacy standards.
What we don't do
Can I get a diagnosis or treatment for a new symptom?
No. eVisitRx handles prescription refills and medical notes only. For a new or worsening problem, see your provider or a walk-in clinic.
Can you refill controlled substances?
No. Opioids, stimulants, and certain sedatives can't be refilled online and need your regular prescriber.
What about emergencies?
eVisitRx is not for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the Emergency Department for anything urgent.
